Quincy History

Quincy Resource Group celebrates our 35th Anniversary. For three and a half decades our company has been providing packaging solutions for customers in diverse industries from manufacturing to pharmaceutical. At Quincy Resource Group customers rely on us to achieve the impossible and we have the history to prove it.

Opening our doors as Cedarburg Assembly in April of 1973 in the historic city of Cedarburg, Wisconsin, the future of the company was already set in motion. Growth through customer care and satisfaction would be the catalyst to becoming a premier corrugated supplier. Our 30 employees proved this each day.

In July of 1979 the company moved to a new facility affectionately known as the “Barn” and in 1987 renamed the company Quincy Container.

Our current Owner Mike Beaman delivered new excitement to the organization when he purchased the company in 1994. Mike’s vision was to build the “best” sheet plant in the Midwest. This vision remains as clear today.

In 1998, our growth allowed Quincy to move into a new Richfield location. It was here that our fulfillment division was born. This portion of our business continues to thrive and expand. When clients are seeking a full service operation, Quincy can provide all the support within one location. With this added service it became apparent that Quincy was much more than a carton supplier and that a name change was needed. In 2001 the company became known as Quincy Resource Group. Today the name remains the same but our business services continue to expand.

In May of 2006 Quincy Resource Group opened the doors to our wonderful new 162,000 square foot facility in Jackson Wisconsin. This new facility provides our personnel and all our clients with the very best in technology, production area, design lab and warehouse capabilities. Now 85 employees strong, Quincy Resource Group is poised to make the dream of becoming the Midwest “Best” sheet plant a reality.
